Ooh la la Juliet Culver City

A taste of France in LA
I fell in love with the new Juliet French restaurant in Culver City and can’t wait to book again. Their description sums it up eloquently: “An ode to the way Parisians are dining now, we apply classic French techniques and global influences to west coast seafood and seasonal produce.” The restaurant is beautiful, referencing the bustling cafe culture in Paris with its bistros, brasseries, and bars-à-vins starting from the outdoor patio all the way to the French interiors.
As soon we walked in, we were met with a communal table full of young people celebrating, that runs the length of the room, breaking up the smaller tables in the dining space. Right behind that, is the glossy red lacquered bar with marble countertops that took forever to wave a bartender down, but the atmosphere made the wait time bearable. The restaurant speaks art with every choice from design, materials, lighting, ambience, modern French food and service to their extensive French wine list that they’re ever so proud of. The attention to detail hasn't gone unnoticed. Dinner at Juliet is a scene, with the vibe being on point.
The food is French in its pricing and sizing too, but if you think of it as sharing smaller plates, you won’t be disappointed with the food. After all, no one goes to a French restaurant looking for a hearty meal. We shared two starters and two larger plates for a meal for two and it was plenty of food. The spring roll duck confit "cigars" are a must, the Tartare et Caviar is a royal treat and the cherry on top was our éclair dessert. It is a nice night out with friends or an impress your date kind of night as its busy enough but intimate at the tables! Stop by for a glass of wine, stay for the Mussells, spend your hard earned dollars, either way, it’s a great night out! Bon Appetit!
